Findings:
The study reveals normal size,smooth surface of the liver.
Diffused mild heterogeneous increased parenchyma of liver is seen
An ill define hyperechoic lesion, 2.4x1.4x2.4 cm at hepatic segment 4.
Portal veins and hepatic veins are patent.
No IHD or CBD dilatation is seen.
The thick wall ( 0.4 cm) distended gallbladder with echoic content (up to 1.1 cm) is seen.Sonographic Murphy sign is weakly positive.
The partially seen pancreas is unremarkable.
No splenimegaly is seen.
Both Kidneys are in normal size and echogenicity,without stone or hydronephrosis.
No ascites or intraabdominal lymphadenopathy is noted
Impression:
- thick wall (0.4cm) distended gallbladder with suspected sludge.
Sonoraphic Murphy sign is weakly positive.
Acute cholecystitis cannot be excluded.
- Mild liver parenchyma disease.
- An ill define hyper echo if lesion,2.4 cm at hepatic segment4.
DDx. hemangioma or other hyperechoic lesion.
Further CT is recommended. |
